Report: Four-Star Class of 2027 Point Guard Micah Gordon Set to Visit Oklahoma State
It’s a big weekend for Cowboy basketball.
It’s a big weekend for Cowboy basketball on the floor, but it might also be a big weekend off it.
Oklahoma State hosts Texas A&M at 1 p.m. Sunday in Gallagher-Iba Arena for what could be an early statement win for Steve Lutz’s second team. But the Cowboys are also set to host a four-star point guard on a visit this weekend.
Micah Gordon will be in Stillwater for an official visit, according to 247Sports’ Dushawn London. A member of the 2027 recruiting class, Gordon is the No. 54 player in the 247Sports Composite ranking. He’s a 6-foot point guard out of New Jersey who announced an OSU offer in September, with the Cowboys joining the likes of Seton Hall, Arizona State, Mississippi State, West Virginia and others to extend offers.
Gordon played with the PSA Cardinals on Nike’s EYBL circuit this past offseason. In 11 EYBL games, he averaged 11 points, 2.5 boards and 2.5 assists a contest while going 10-for-26 (39%) from 3-point range. In a three-game stretch in mid-July, Gordon averaged 18 points a game while shooting 4-for-6 (67%) from 3.
He plays his prep ball at Plainfield High School in New Jersey, where he averaged 17 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists a game as a sophomore last season.
Class of 2026 prospects haven’t had a signing day yet, so it’s obviously still quite early in the 2027 window. OSU doesn’t have a 2027 commitment, but not many schools do. Lutz’s 2026 class currently ranks third nationally with pledges from Jalen Montonati, Latrell Allmond and Parker Robinson.
