Report: Jackson Holliday Getting 3rd Promotion of Season to Triple-A
Jackson Holliday is getting to the MLB at a rapid pace
Jackson Holliday is on the fast track to the big leagues.
Steve Melewski, who covers the Baltimore Orioles for the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network, reported Sunday night that Holliday is being promoted to the Orioles’ Triple-A affiliate Norfolk Tides. It would mean Holliday would play in four levels of the minors in his first full professional season, going through the system at a rapid pace.
Holliday, 19, is the son of former MLB great Matt Holliday and nephew of Oklahoma State baseball coach Josh Holliday. Jackson Holliday was committed to OSU before becoming the first overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft out of Stillwater High School.
Jackson is ranked as the top prospect in all of baseball as a shortstop. He batted .338 in 36 games with Double-A affiliate Bowie Baysox before he was called up. Holliday started the season in Low-A before three promotions this year. He is now a promotion away from his MLB debut.
