Report: Ohio Wide Receiver Rodney Harris II Commits to Oklahoma State
The Cowboys add their seventh wide receiver via the transfer portal.
The Cowboys added another talented wideout just before the transfer portal window closed.
Former Ohio wide receiver Rodney Harris II has committed to Oklahoma State, according to Chris Hummer of CBS Sports.
Harris is a three-star prospect according to 247Sports and the No. 198 wide receiver in the portal. Harris was a three-star prospect out of Princeton High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. He received offers from 11 schools including Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Indiana and Toledo but ultimately went with the Bobcats. He also played basketball and ran track.
Over the past four years at Ohio, he totaled 712 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 35 games. He posted 30 catches for 419 yards and those two scores as a junior last season. Harris took a redshirt year in 2022 before appearing in eight games in 2023 making one catch. In 2024, he started 13 of his 14 appearances for 289 yards.
He’s got the ability to track a ball and make a play on it.
