Report: OSU Cornerback RJ Lester Enters the Transfer Portal
The first Cowboy enters spring transfer portal.
STILLWATER — The transfer portal reopened for business on Wednesday, and it didn’t take long before the first Cowboy put his name into the portal.
According to 247Sports writer McClain Baxley, RJ Lester entered his name into the transfer portal after two seasons with the Cowboys.
Lester failed to record any stats but saw the field four times during his redshirt season in 2023. Last season, he recorded three total tackles after playing all 12 games.
Most of the corner’s playing time came on special teams.
The Fort Smith, Arkansas, native chose Oklahoma State over reported offers from LSU, Kansas State, Tulsa and others. ESPN ranked him as the 102nd cornerback in the nation and both ESPN and 247Sports ranked him as a top 10 recruit in the state of Arkansas.
The spring portal window will remain open through Friday, April 25.
