TRANSFER PORTAL TRACKER

It appears as if the Zane Train has made it’s last journey in orange and black.

Flores, an Oklahoma State quarterback, plans to enter the transfer portal, according to ESPN’s Max Olson. Flores played in nine games for the Cowboys this season (as a third-year redshirt freshman), where he completed 60% of his throws for 1,490 yards, three touchdowns and seven interceptions.

After redshirting in 2023, Flores received a medical hardship waiver for the 2024 season for a lower body injury that he dealt with throughout the year.

He made his long-awaited debut in the Cowboys’ 2025 season opener, coming in after starter Hauss Hejny broke a bone in his foot. He eclipsed 200 passing yards in five games, including a season-best performance against Kansas where he threw for 235 yards and two touchdowns to no INTs.

He suffered an injury of his own during the Cowboys’ early October trip to Arizona and didn’t return until that game in Lawrence about a month later.

The OSU offense struggled all season, but there were so many moving pieces (head coaching change, coordinator change, quarterback injuries, guys entering the portal, etc.) that it is hard to pin the struggles on any singular circumstance.

Out of Gretna, Nebraska, Flores was a three-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class and chose the Cowboys over offers from Kansas State, Indiana, Missouri, Kansas and others.

He’s the second OSU QB to reportedly hit the transfer portal, joining Stillwater High product Mason Schubert.
