Report: OSU Wide Receiver Talyn Shettron to Enter Transfer Portal
Shettron’s OSU career has been riddled with injuries.
On the day that OSU’s head coach was formally introduced, another Cowboy has been reported to enter the portal.
Cowboy wide receiver Talyn Shettron is set to enter the transfer portal, according to a report by On3 Sports’ Pete Nakos.
If he has played his last game for OSU, Shettron’s time in Stillwater will ultimately be defined by oodles of potential derailed by multiple injuries.
The OKC native came to Stillwater as the fifth-highest rated recruit in OSU history, ranked right behind Dez Bryant. He flipped his commitment from Oklahoma to join OSU’s 2022 recruiting class. The 6-foot-2 deep threat played in four games as freshman in 2022 before taking a redshirt. In 2023, Shettron appeared in seven games before his season ended due to injury. He appeared in nine games in 2024 before an offseason injury sidelined him for all of 2025.
In 20 games, he has logged 21 catches for 354 yards (16.9 per reception) and two touchdowns. The news came just ahead of Oklahoma State formally introducing new head coach Eric Morris.
