Rudolph, Lundblade, Other Oklahoma State Seniors Sign Off One Last Time
After the first 10-win three-year stretch in Oklahoma State history, the Cowboys’ seniors took a bow on Thursday by beating a top 25 Virginia Tech team in the Camping World Bowl. And then it was over.
Mason Rudolph, Marcell Ateman, Chad Whitener, James Washington, Brad Lundblade and Zach Crabtree will never play in the orange and black again, which is both sad and astounding. Sad for obvious reasons and astounding because it feels like a week ago that we were debating about whether Rudolph’s redshirt should be pulled in Waco.
“I thanked (coach Gundy) for the opportunity to come here and play in his system, play in such an explosive offense with guys like James and being able to spread the ball around,” said Rudolph on Thursday. “Just being part of a team and a community in Stillwater that’s been home for me and James for four years. Just a fun college experience.”
Rudolph then signed off via Twitter and other seniors did the same. We collected some of those tweets so you can see what players had to say following their final game in the Oklahoma State uniform.
Thank you Cowboy nation for an unforgettable four years. For a city and family to always call home. It’s been an honor to represent you. Go Pokes?

Underclassmen and coaches weighed in on their seniors, too.
One of the first things Mason Rudolph did postgame was find Mike Yurcich to give him a hug. Asked Yurcich what he said to him in that moment: #okstate pic.twitter.com/WG7u7r74TW
