Rutgers and OSU Will Not Wrestle in Stillwater Next Year
Fix-Suriano will never wrestle in Gallagher-Iba
The conclusion of the NCAA Tournament for Oklahoma State left a bit of a poor taste in the mouths of Oklahoma State fans. In one of the more controversial NCAA finals in some time Daton Fix fell in sudden victory overtime to Nick Suriano after a missed call on a head gear grab by Suriano which resulted in Suriano getting a takedown and winning the NCAA title.

After OSU made a trip to Rutgers last season, where they defeated the Scarlet Knights 26-5, many assumed Rutgers would be making the return trip to Stillwater this year. According to NJ.com, that’s not the case.

Though he hasn’t announced his plans yet, there’s still a reasonable chance Daton Fix takes an Olympic redshirt this season, so the rematch of the NCAA final isn’t assured to happen even if Rutgers did come to Gallagher-Iba, but with Suriano a senior, this means Gallagher-Iba will never be a chapter of the Fix-Suriano rivalry.
