Social Media Reaction: Barry Sanders Salutes Chuba’s 2,000-Yard Season
Social media reaction to Chuba’s historic day, OSU’s tough Texas Bowl loss.
The Cowboys came up short in H-Town, falling 24-21 to the Aggies despite starting out 14-0. We’ll get to some of the Twitter takes from fans and talking heads alike, but first let’s focus on Chuba Hubbard’s historic day.
The GOAT took to Twitter to welcome the second member to OSU’s 2K rushing club.
Congrats to @Hubbard_RMN and @CowboyFB on reaching the #2000YardClub – I know the team effort it takes to get there. #GoPokes @espn

Chuba finished with 158 rushing yards Friday for a season total of 2,094, but his 19 carries was the lowest this season, except for his truncated game against McNeese State in Week 2. And the Cowboys could have used him.
That’s unbelievable. Chuba. It has to be Chuba. Has to be.

Chuba Hubbard finishes with 19 carries. Was there a handshake agreement to keep his carries under 25? And not hand it to him 35 times like usual? One of many strange coaching decisions tonight for #Okstate.

I’m tired of watching awful drops and awful punts. Hey, don’t we have a 2000 yard rusher somewhere??

Does Gundy realize that Chuba Hubbard is on HIS team?

The Cowboys had plenty of missed opportunities, sure, but OSU’s coaching staff also caught plenty of flack in my timeline. It wasn’t pretty late.
Ok State needs some creativity offensively. Especially in the run game. Can’t just line up and move this D Line.

I’ll be dammed blew 14-0 lead dawg.

No way that dude is calling the plays free and clear. He’s know for creativity. WHERE THE HELL HAS THAT BEEN? https://t.co/spuhGUQhR1

It was not Rodarius Williams’ day. He was flagged for two questionable calls that moved the chains for the Aggies offense and was probably held on the long Kellen Mond TD run.
