Social Media Reactions: Optimism Hits Season Low After Loss to Cyclones
Let’s dive into social media reactions from a rough outing by the Pokes on Saturday.
The morning got started off on the right foot with Gundy’s weekly hype video.

Uniswag gives kudos to the Pokes for going all black today.

I like seeing Jelani targeted in the red zone! Hot start for the Pokes here.

It was really early, but I think this play set the tone for the rest of the game for the Pokes.
Zach Sinor takes the punt snap off the helmet and then kicks it out of bounds for a safety. Yikes. #OKState's lead now … 7-2.

Brock Purdy, QB3 for Iowa State, had himself a day.
Death, taxes, and #okstate making third-string QB's look like Joe Montana.

Hunziker nailed it, but unfortunately the Pokes could not shut Purdy down when it was most necessary.
"Really, what it comes down to is if you can make Purdy ugly." #okstate

Iowa State even recognized their offensive display was uncanny.
ISU's 30 points in the first half is the fourth-most points in a half in a road game in school history. #WinInTheDark

8.3 ypc in the first half is less than ideal.
#okstate Dismal half for the OSU offensive line (allowing five sacks and providing zero support for Justice Hill) and the OSU defense. Before today, Cyclones averaged 4.9 yards per play (last in the Big 12). Against OSU, Iowa State has averaged 8.3 yards per snap.

Bright Spots
Maybe the only good part of the game in Stillwater today… didn’t actually happen in Stillwater.
Loudest roar of the crowd thus far today comes as Larry Reece announces Texas beat OU. Awesome.

Hill putting himself in unique territory.
Quite a list. #okstate pic.twitter.com/0rn6XhT2oG

Bad day for football in the state of Oklahoma
Not a great day of college football for the state of Oklahoma…

Curious what the numbers were in BPS on Saturday
Oklahoma may set a new state record in beer sales today.

Struggles for Corn Today partially stemmed from a lack of time to throw. Cyclones were in the pocket all day long, finishing with 7 sacks.
Our offensive line is Jerry Seinfeld’s door, and their defense is Kramer.
— Southwell (@JustinSouthwell) October 6, 2018
Agreed, but did O-Line in ’14 get better by the time Rudolph took the reigns, or was his escapability just greater than Daxx’s?
Corn can't even get his feet set before he has to move to try and throw the ball. This has been one of the worst offensive line performances since 2014.

Tough to read. But had this exact conversation during the game.
The most demoralizing thing for Oklahoma State fans, you can't even call this a rebuilding year. You're not building anything with a 5th year senior walk-on quarterback. You're simply losing and wasting a season.
