Texas Bowl Gifts for Oklahoma State Include Cowboy Hat, Belt Buckle and ….

The Texas Bowl is leaning into its southern ways with the most southern of bowl gifts this holiday season. So southern, they may as well be handing out a southern drawl and a saddle.

This year’s gifts for the bowl for Oklahoma State players includes an Academy gift card (it’s the Academy Sports & Outdoors Texas Bowl, after all!), a belt buckle and bandana, and a Justin cowboy hat. In the non-southern department, players will also get a shot and toiletry bag, and an Adidas duffle bag.

Leaning in, huh? Overall though, not a bad haul of goodies for some college students. Last year’s gift suite for Oklahoma State players in the Liberty Bowl included a shopping trip to Bass Pro, a Bose speaker, a Bulova watch, Nike shoes, sandals, a backpack and sunglasses. Comparable to this year, I think they’re about the same.

And according to the NCAA, they should be. The governing body mandates that bowl goodies should be worth no more than $550 for each player. Just ask the playoff participants, who are darn near pushing that limit. Here’s a look at those gifts, via 247Sports:
