Oklahoma State enjoys close games.

That’s how it seems anyway. With all the offense, though, it makes it easier to find gaudy stats to share. Here are 10 intriguing stats from OSU’s 45-41 upset against West Virginia.

13: With the win, Oklahoma State becomes bowl eligible for the 13th straight season. The Cowboys hold the 10th longest active bowl streak in the country.

1st: This is the first time OSU has ever beaten a Top-10 team in the AP Poll in back-to-back home games.

2nd: The Cowboys’ 17-point comeback Saturday is tied for the second-largest comeback in school history. It is tied with eight other games. OSU’s largest comeback was a 20-point deficit against Colorado in 1979.

3rd: Taylor Cornelius became the third player in Big 12 history to have 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards and five passing touchdowns in a game. Baylor quarterback Seth Russell was the last player to do so in 2015.

5th: Cornelius’ 28 touchdown passes this season tie him for fifth in OSU history. Ahead of him are Mason Rudolph’s and Brandon Weeden’s senior seasons (37), Weeden’s junior year (34), and Josh Fields’ sophomore year (31).

17-5: The Cowboys are 17-5 in their past 22 games decided by less than 10 points.

11: With his two touchdown receptions Saturday, Tylan Wallace broke into double digits and has 11 this season.

142: Cornelius threw 142 passes without an interception, a streak that broke Saturday. It is the fifth longest streak in school history.

5-1: OSU’s victory made it 5-1 in its last six games against opponents in the AP Poll.

14: Bullet III, OSU’s live mascot, retired today after 14 seasons with the program. The Cowboy Marching Band did a tribute for him at halftime, where the saddle was taken off him and put no Bullet IV. Bullet III then got flowers placed on him like he won the Kentucky Derby. It was honestly a pretty tear-jerking moment.
