Three Former OSU Athletes Announced on Olympic Teams
OSU will have a pair of golfers and a goalkeeper in Tokyo.
Oklahoma State is set to be well represented at the Olympics this summer.
Former OSU golfers Viktor Holvand and Alex Noren will represent Norway and Sweden, respectively. Former OSU soccer player AD Franch is set to represent the United States in Tokyo.
Hovland is up to 14th in the World Golf Ranking. He has five Top 5 finishes this calendar year. He was on the Cowboys’ 2018 National Championship team.
Noren is 95th in the World Ranking. Now 38, Noren turned pro in 2005 after his Oklahoma State career.
Franch is one of two goalkeepers on the U.S. women’s soccer roster headed to Tokyo. She was a three-time All-American while at OSU from 2009-12. She led the Cowgirls to back-to-back Elite Eight appearances in 2010 and 2011. She also holds the program record for clean sheets with 38.
The 2020 (2021) Olympics kick off July 23 and last through Aug. 8.
