Three-star receiver recruit Logan Saldate, a 2024 recruit from Palma High School in Salintas, California, announced over the weekend that he has narrowed his list from 12 to five schools and included the Cowboys among schools in final consideration. Saldate named OSU as the only Big 12 school — OSU was the only Big 12 school to offer — along with Cal, Arizona, Washington and the other OSU (Oregon State).

Saldate is a 5-foot-11, 185-pound pass-catcher who rates at 88 overall in 247Sports’ rankings, making him a high-end three-star. 247 also rates him as the No. 76 overall WR and No. 42 player in California.

OSU offered Saldate last June, and the courtship has continued for nearly a year, culminating with an expected visit to Stillwater for an official visit this coming June. He is also expected to visit Oregon State the week prior and likely has trips lined up to Arizona and Washington as well (he has already visited Cal, UCLA, USC and Fresno State since they’re close to home).

“Both Oregon State and Oklahoma State are recruiting me really hard and I have a great relationship with the coaches at each school, so I’m looking forward to the officials in June,” Saldate told 247 last month.

OSU has seven commitments already in the 2024 class but none (yet) at the WR position, though not for lack of trying. Saldate is one of a dozen targets in the 2024 cycle at WR which also includes Bentonville standout CJ Brown and Texas’ Jacob Emmers, who was offered earlier this spring.
