The 2014 recruiting class was full of potential stars at the linebacker position. But preparing the for the future, Gundy is doing his best to reload at the linebacker position again in the 2016 class. Amen Ogbongbemiga, a linebacker prospect from Calgary, Alberta, Canada was the first linebacker to commit to OSU in the 2016 class. But another 2016 prospect, Kevin Moore is also interested in the Pokes.

Kevin Moore could be one of the most versatile prospects in the state of Louisiana, and looking at his statistics in the state championship game, there is a good chance you wouldn’t be able to guess his position, in which he tallied 121 total offensive yards, 10 tackles, and 1 state championship ring.

With his team sitting at .500 midway through the season, Moore took the reins at quarterback and led his team to seven consecutive victories – closing the season out with a state championship.

Not bad for a prospect who projects to play outside linebacker at the next level. On top of his 121 yards and 10 tackles in the state championship game, he accumulated 150 tackles and four interceptions throughout the regular season. In 2015, Moore will focus on the defensive side of the ball and will give up the quarterbacking.

Although he has already trimmed his schools to five, Moore has yet to play a full season at the position he excels at the most – linebacker. Once more schools see his upside, it sounds like that list may be subject to change. But for now, OSU finds themselves on the inner circle with a chance to land yet another prospect from The Boot.

Moore has excellent ball skills and his highlights show he is the most versatile player on the field, regardless of which side of the ball he lines up at. With his speed, he is great in pass coverage down the field and is talented enough to stymie the running game with his elusiveness and power. See for yourself.
