Top 50 Prospect Neiko Mundey Schedules Oklahoma State Visit
Mundey is a two-way guard who can fill it up.
Another high-level prospect has scheduled a visit to Stillwater this fall.
Neiko Mundey, a 6-foot-3 guard from Maryland, will be in Stillwater on Sept. 28, according to a report from Sam Kayser. That’s the weekend the Cowboy football team hosts Baylor and the same weekend OSU is reportedly set to host fellow four-star guard Cameron Lomax. Mundey also has visits scheduled to Pitt (Aug. 30) and Mississippi State (Sept. 6).
Mundey is the No. 50 player in the 2026 recruiting class, according to 247Sports. That makes him the No. 8 combo guard and No. 2 player from Maryland in the recruiting service’s rankings. Rivals and On3 also consider Mundey a four-star prospect.
Along with offers to those three schools he has visits set up to, Mundey also has offers to Florida State, Illinois, Texas Tech, Syracuse and others.
OSU has had eyes on Mundey this summer, as reports surfaced from the weekend that Steve Lutz watched Mundey at DMV Live. Playing for Price George’s Christian Academy, Mundey scored 35 points on Wesleyan Christian at the event, an outing where he was 10-for-16 from the field.
Mundey plays his AAU ball with the Maryland-based New World in Adidas’ 3SSB. He’s averaging 19.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.1 steals a game in 3SSB play. He’s scored in double figures in all eight games he’s played in while eclipsing 20 points in three of those games. In one game in early May, he had 28 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and four steals — a game where he hit five 3s.
While Mundey can fill it up, his defense is what stands out in these highlights.
This is the point in the summer where basketball recruiting starts to take an uptick. The Cowboys are in search of their first commitment in the 2026 cycle, but they’re not behind by any means. Iowa State and Baylor are the only Big 12 programs with 2026 commitments at this point.
