Tulsa Union Four-star Recruit AJ Green Names OSU in Top Eight Schools
Could the AJ Green/OSU lineage continue?
Four-star Class of 2021 defensive back AJ Green, from in-state power Tulsa Union, trimmed his list of schools to eight on Friday and named Oklahoma State among the many still capable of securing his commitment. Also still in the hunt: OU, Arkansas, Texas Tech, Baylor, Michigan, LSU and South Carolina.
“Recruitment is still 100% open,” he said of his list. “But this is my top eight.”
Green, a defensive back prospect who also plays running back, is ranked as the No. 2 prospect by 247Sports in the state of Oklahoma and a top-200 national recruit. He holds more than a dozen scholarship offers overall, and his recent list notably excludes Texas, Colorado, Tennessee and Texas A&M, who have also offered in recent months.
Also potentially newsworthy: his Twitter profile picture.
OSU was the third major conference program to extend Green an offer during his meteoric rise as a recruit last spring, just behind Baylor and Arkansas. He picked up an OSU offer on the same day as OU offered.
Green has made it a point to keep in contact with OSU’s staff since then and even recently visited the campus for an unofficial visit.

Getting Green for OSU would be a huge coup to keep the AJ Green lineage at OSU alive, but also to keep some juice within the state. OU has signed the state’s top-rated recruit every year but one since 2017.
Green would also help boost an otherwise empty recruiting class for OSU in 2021, which consists of just one commitment thus far and ranks dead last within the Big 12.
