Bryan Nardo and his defensive staff have set a good pace in 2024 recruiting, and there is reason to believe the Cowboys aren’t slowing down.

Of the Cowboys’ seven commits in the 2024 cycle, the top four (according to 247) are defensive prospects, and OSU’s new defensive coordinator has already teased two upcoming commitments. There is some intrigue among Rice defensive line commit Armstrong Nnodim, who earned an offer at OSU’s camp last week, but there are also a three linebackers who have OSU ties trending toward the end of their recruitment.

Jonathan Agumadu

Fresh off his Oklahoma State official visit, Jonathan Agumadu announced on his Instagram that he has cut his list to five and announced he’ll pick a program on July 4.

Agumadu’s remaining suitors are Oklahoma State, Missouri, SMU, Memphis and North Texas. Out of McKinney High School, Agumadu is listed at 6-foot-2, 220 pounds. He played at Pearce High School as a junior, where he recorded 48 tackles, including 4.5 sacks in nine games, according to MaxPreps.

OSU offered Agumadu in May and has worked quickly to get him in on an official visit. He is currently unranked, but it’s only a matter of time.

Gunnar Wilson

Gunnar Wilson’s college announcement is coming up quick. He’ll announce his college destination Saturday.

Out of Melissa, Texas, Wilson has offers from Texas State, UTSA, North Texas, Arkansas State and others, but Oklahoma State is his only Power Five offer, according to 247Sports. Wilson played all over the place for Melissa, as his Cardinals went 11-3 and made an appearance in the Texas 5A-D2 state quarterfinals.

Wilson is listed at 6-2, 210 pounds.

Kyland Reed

Kyland Reed on Sunday trimmed his list of suitors down to three: Oklahoma State, Baylor and Utah.

Out of Mansfield Summit High School (TX), Reed is listed at 6-foot-2, 210 pounds. He was injured this past season but as a sophomore in 2021, Reed recorded 48 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, seven sacks, 11 pass breakups, four forced fumbles and a pair of fumble recoveries.

Oklahoma State was Reed’s first Power Five offer, coming in May of 2022. He was on campus in April and has also shared photos from a recent visit to Utah.

On3 and Rivals list Reed as a three-star prospect.
