UMass Graduate Transfer Jonathan Laurent Commits to OSU
OSU’s newest hooper made about 47 percent of this 3-point attempts last season.

UMass graduate transfer Jonathan Laurent was in Stillwater for a visit this weekend, and he decided he’ll stay.
Laurent, who averaged 9.5 points a game last season, committed to Oklahoma State on Sunday.
Laurent fills a depth need for the Cowboys in the frontcourt. At 6-foot-6, Laurent is also able to stretch the floor with an efficient 3-point shooting ability. Last season, Laurent made about 46.7 percent of his 75 3-point attempts. That’s a higher percentage than Lindy Waters (44.8) and Thomas Dziagwa (42.5) had in 2018-19.
He adds to what was a thin frontcourt for the Cowboys, joining Cam McGriff, Yor Anei and incoming freshmen Kalib and Keylan Boone.
As a grad transfer, Laurent will be immediately eligible for next season. With Duncan Demuth’s departure, OSU coach Mike Boynton still has a scholarship to give to fill out his stacked 2019 class.
