Oklahoma State Opens as Underdog vs. Missouri in Liberty Bowl
OSU has been excellent as an underdog this season.
Oklahoma State has been at its best in 2018 as an underdog, winning straight up against Texas and West Virginia — two top-10 teams — despite entering the game as a betting underdog. It also nearly ousted OU on the road despite being a two-touchdown dog.
That could bode well for its chances to edge out Missouri in the Liberty Bowl.
The Cowboys opened in Vegas as 7.5-point underdogs for the game — (despite what SI may lead you to believe!) — according to VegasInsider.com.
OSU is 4-0 against the spread as an underdog this season but just 2-6 against the spread when favored going into the game. That has reared its head in the weirdest games, too, as evidenced by losses to Kansas State, Baylor and TCU.
The Tigers are ranked 23rd in the latest College Football Playoff rankings. They went 8-4 on the season, finished fourth in the SEC, and won their final four games of the season headlined by a win over No. 11 Florida.
