Uniform Predictions: Everyone Goes With a Different Helmet for KSU Game
Our picks for Saturday’s tilt in Manhattan.
We have a tight race in the uni picks with just half the season left. Also, according to Uni Czar Chris Knox, our picks are getting better. It took us until Week 8 to reach these scores last year. So while our game picks might be garbage, at least our unis are ?.
Kyle Porter: Looking to bust up a sliding season on the road against a team you’ve traditionally had a tough time with? Look no further than the great tri-color combo of Bedlam 2014 (and try to ignore the fact that it was also worn at Ames in 2011). This is definitely my favorite road combo in the arsenal (and maybe my favorite overall).
Carson Cunningham: Chris Knox, who does an incredible job with these uniform graphics, recently shared some images of unused combos. His favorite one was Patriot Pete-white-orange, and it looks fantastic. We can’t change the numbers to orange, or it would be perfection but that’s ok. I still find it hard to believe WWO hasn’t been worn since they introduced new uniforms in 2011, but here we are.

Justin Southwell: Chrome Pete has been worn against Kansas State for the past couple of years, and I think it’s a good helmet to contrast against the Wildcats logo. I don’t think we’ll see a complete repeat of 2016 (O/W/B) but I’d like to see an updated version of what we saw vs. K-State in 2012 (O/W/O) sans Collin Klein.
