Uniform Predictions: Oklahoma State-TCU

We have arrived at the end of the season, and everybody gets two freebies over the final two weeks with the automatic white jersey on the road. Kyle and Southwell probably don’t have a chance of catching Carson because of this, but the bowl game could at least make it interesting.

I think we all feel confident that OSU is going white tops and black pants. The variable is the helmet. I can see them tweaking the Baylor combo from earlier this year by swapping out the white pants for black ones in Ft. Worth this week.

As an aside: I realized I like the White Chrome Pete helmet more than I like the Orange Chrome Pete helmet. I’m not sure what to do with this information.

I’ve been saving black-white-black like a fine wine, waiting for the right road game. After all, BWB has become their most traditional road look in many ways. Think of all the big games they’ve worn this. If you’re thinking, “Man, we’ve seen this combo a lot!” you are correct. It’s been donned more than any other look and I think they finally, at long last, being back the matte brand helmet.
