Uniforms: Oklahoma State Unveils Throwback Brand to Honor 1976 Team

It looks as if early uniform reveals are officially a thing, and this week’s is a beauty.

With the Cowboys honoring the 50-year anniversary of the 1976 Tangerine Bowl team this weekend, Oklahoma State unveiled the throwback OSU brand on an orange lid to go with an orange jersey and white pants.

OSU didn’t use an orange-orange-white combo at all last season. The last time the Pokes wore it came in 2024 in a loss to West Virginia. They last won in the color combo in 2023 against Kansas. OSU is just 3-3 in the color combo all time.

Murray State hasn’t put out its full combo, but it does look like the Racers will rock a cursive white helmet for their visit to Boone Pickens Stadium.

The Cowboys and Racers will get going at 6 p.m. Saturday in Boone Pickens Stadium. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
