Victor Voinovich to Represent Serbia at Junior European Championships
The OSU signee will spend part of his summer competing in
Oklahoma State signee Victor Voinovich is slated to compete at the Junior European World Championships in Dortmund Germany at the end of June.
Voinovich, whose family has Serbian roots, was contacted by the Serbian Wrestling Federation and asked to join their squad as a national team member this summer.
Voinovich will be competing at 70 KG (154 pounds) at the tournament. He’s got his passport and spent the last few weeks training in Serbia with the team to prepare for the tournament. He will be coming back to Stillwater the next few days to start his first classes before returning to Europe for the tournament.
The tournament takes place from the June 28 -July 4. Victor’s weight, 70 KG, will be wrestled on the June 28-29.
