Mike Gundy addresses the OSU fans who made the trek to Memphis for New Year’s Eve.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — All is well in Cowboy Country, for tonight anyway. OSU beat Missouri 38-33, Mike Gundy got his mullet drenched and it looks as if OSU fans are finally freed from the Mike Yurcich shackles (not something I’m in favor of, by the way).
As OSU touched off its win, everybody who has a role even remotely associated with the football team jumped onto the field and celebrated OSU’s third consecutive bowl victory.
Gundy the nearly dropped the trophy before hollering “how ’bout them Cowboys?!” at the OSU fans who made the trip to Memphis. It was a pretty cool moment to end a very strange season.
