Watch: Chris Carson Takes Call from Pete Carroll and John Schneider
Chris Carson fulfilled a lifelong dream when he saw his name flash across the television screen on Saturday evening. Whether a player goes in the 1st round or the 7th, it’s a moment they will never forget.
Check out this video from the Seattle Seahawks where GM John Schneider and head coach Pete Carroll call Carson to break the good news.
“I was getting kind of nervous,” Carson said according to the Seahawks “I wanted to get my name called. I had talked to a lot of teams about being signed as a free agent. Then Seattle called me, and I just got excited to see that number pop up. I talked to the coaches there, and I started crying. I started to tear up a little bit. I’m just blessed to be in this situation.”
Carson was selected with the 249th overall pick in the 7th round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the 11th and final selection by the Seahawks.
