Watch: Chuba Hubbard Scores First NFL Touchdown
Chuba finds pay dirt for the first time as a pro.
In back-to-back weeks, Chuba Hubbard reached significant milestones in his young pro career. A week after logging his first 100-yard rushing game, the former Cowboy found pay dirt for the first time on Sunday.
Hubbard was thrust into action in when Panthers starting running back Christian McCaffrey went down with a hamstring injury. Chuba spelled the former All-Pro rusher, logging 52 yards on the ground and 27 in the air.
In his first start in Week 4, Chuba added 54 yards on 13 carries before his big 24-rush, 101-yard outing against Philadelphia last week. Chuba’s the guy for the time being as Carolina placed McCaffrey on injured reserve Saturday.
At the half, Hubbard has 11 carries for 47 yards and that score as his Panthers trail the Minnesota Vikings 12-10.
