Watch: Mason Rudolph, James Washington Hit the Red Carpet at CFB Awards Show
James Washington and Mason Rudolph were at the College Football Awards Show on Thursday evening and walked the red carpet with head coach Mike Gundy. Washington went on to win the Biletnikoff award while Rudolph came up empty handed, they both seemed to have a good time chatting up reporters as the CFB world looked on.
Washington was asked by Tom Rinaldi about Gundy’s shirtless appearance before Homecoming.
“He’s been working out a lot, working on his abs and stuff,” said Washington. “I figure he wanted to show them, but he dragged our quarterback into that, too. That’s something that Mason doesn’t really do so I guess the peer pressure got to him.”
Then he was seriously asked about what it would mean to win the Biletnikoff award.
“It would mean a lot because all the people who helped me get to this point, it would mean something to them. That’s the biggest way I can see paying them back.”
Washington went on to mention his receivers coach Kasey Dunn.

Rudolph was asked about his favorite thing about playing for Mike Gundy. “Being coached by such a character,” said Rudolph. “A great guy and an offensive leader. Someone I was able to get a lot of wisdom from from playing the position at the same school I did.” As for what Gundy constantly teases him about. “My naked face,” said Rudolph. Do what?! “Booting out. If I take a play off one day and hand the ball off and don’t give 100 percent effort on my naked face, I always hear about it after that practice.”

Also, Mike Gundy is clearly going to miss QB1.
