WATCH: OSU Freshman Davon Dillard Can Soar
Davon Dillard, who was the last addition to Travis Ford’s 2015 recruiting class, may prove to be one of the top incoming freshman next season when it comes to flash.
Some of Dillard’s biggest strengths are his athleticism and play-making ability, along with his mindset to attack the basket. He plays with a mean streak that is tough to guard, and he is an absolute punisher in the lane.
He hasn’t developed his outside game yet, but at 6-foot-5, has a ton of potential to polish his skills and could become a stretch-four type of player in Stillwater.
You may have seen some of his dunks before, but Dillard threw another dunk video up on his Instagram yesterday from the Jordan Brand Classic Regional dunk contest.
With his skill set, there is hope that Dillard can contribute early in his career in Stillwater. Since the loss of Markel Brown two seasons ago, Lobstilly could desperately use a revival, and Dillard could certainly provide that rejuvenation.
