WATCH: Rickie Fowler Hits 410-Yard Drive at Match Play

Rickie Fowler hit a 160-yard wedge shot into the par-5 12th hole in his first round matchup against Jason Dufner in the Match Play Championship on Wednesday.
Oh … and I buried the lede.
The par 5 measured 570 yards which means Fowler’s drive went 410 yards (hashtag math). It’s the second-longest drive on the PGA Tour this year. Bubba Watson hit one 411 yards at the Tournament of Champions and 409 yards at Pebble Beach.
Fowler has been sneaky long all year though. He’s 29th on the PGA Tour in average driving distance at 301.8 yards. Fowler has never officially averaged over 300 yards off the tee in a single season and as recently as 2013, he was in the 280s.
Pretty impressive stuff.
Good morning.
