WATCH: Viktor Hovland Nails Hole-in-One at BMW Championship
Hovland’s ace was the first of this year’s FedEx Cup playoffs.
Viktor Hovland got up on the right side of the bed on Sunday.
The former Oklahoma State star started the final day of the BMW Championship as well as one could. He had a nice birdie from the greenside bunker on hole No.1 and then found the bottom of the cup with just one stroke on hole No. 2.
Hovland’s ace bounced twice on the green, then off the flag — nothing but net. It was the first hole-in-one of this year’s FedEx Cup playoffs.
While he didn’t even touch his putter on the first two holes, Hovland put it to work on 6 with this nice 46-footer.
Despite his hot start on Sunday, Hovland was out of the running for the BMW Championship before he drew oos and ahhs in Delaware. He is T38th, as of writing, with an impressive 65 in Round 4 thanks to five birdies and that eagle. Hovland turns his sights to next week’s Tour Championship at East Lake in Atlanta, Georgia, Aug. 25-8.
