Wrestling Recruiting: Braxton Amos Gives Timeline for Announcement
Amos gives insight on his recruiting and when he plans to announce his commitment
The No. 3 overall recruit in the 2020 class, Oklahoma State target Braxton Amos, has laid out a timeline for his announcement.
In an interview with True Wrestling, Amos said this:
We were going to make it during the homecoming football game, during halftime. Since I’m not playing football now I don’t really know when. At the latest Super 32… Realistically probably before Super 32 I’ll make the announcement, and probably a week or two before that I’ll make the tough calls to the coaches saying “Hey, I love you guys but I’m sorry.” [True Wrestling]
The Super 32 takes place this year on October 12-13 in Greensboro, North Carolina.
In the interview he discussed some other pieces on his recruiting and provided some other insights on the process. Namely, he says he spent a few weeks at Oklahoma State and Virginia Tech for camps to get a feel for both schools and still has official visits remaining at Ohio State and Wisconsin before he makes his final decision. Penn State is the other school on his short list.
