Wrestling Recruiting: Three-Time State Champ Alexander Yokubaitis Commits to OSU
The Cowboys continue to bolster an already strong 2020 recruiting class.
Oklahoma State continues to add talent and bodies to an already strong 2020 recruiting class. In July, Alexander Yokubaitis who is a three-time Louisiana State Champion committed to OSU.
I have recently decided to commit to wrestling for Oklahoma State University. Thank you to all the people that have helped me get to this point and for all the support that I’ve been given along the way! #GoPokes pic.twitter.com/SY67F4KlIe

Yokubaitis, currently a senior at St. Louis high school in Lake Charles, Louisiana won state titles at 106 as a freshman, 113 as a sophomore, and 120 last year as a junior. He was also an NHSCA All-American in 2018. He should be a solid addition to a strong group of lower weights coming in with Jakason Burks and Trevor Mastrogiovanni.
Alex was a bit under the radar as a recruit coming out of Louisiana, but the last big name Louisiana wrestling talent to make his way to Stillwater worked out pretty well.

The rest of the 2020 OSU recruiting class so far.
- Dustin Plott —Tuttle, Okla.
- Trevor Mastrogiovanni — Blair Academy, N.J.
- Jakason Burks — Omaha, Neb.
- Konner Doucet — Comanche, Okla.
- Luke Surber — Tuttle, Okla.
