The Big 12 has been slowly releasing the nominations for the conference’s male and female Athlete of the Year. Oklahoma State is represented by some heavy hitters.

Cowboy heavyweight wrestler Wyatt Hendrickson and track and field star Emma Robbins each got the nod the conference announced Monday.

Hendrickson had himself quite the year in Stillwater after transferring from Air Force. That culminated with a Heavyweight National Championship over Olympic Gold Medalist Gable Steveson of Minnesota. Hendrickson went 27-0 as a senior with wins over nine All-Americans. For his efforts, he became the third Cowboy to win the Dan Hodge Trophy.

Robbins also transferred to OSU to see her star rise. Formerly of Kansas State and LSU, the redshirt senior earned First-Team All-American honors in the hammer throw after finishing fourth in the nationals last month. She broke an OSU record in the weight and hammer through five times last season and finished runner-up in both indoor weight and outdoor hammer through for the league.

The Big 12 Athletes of the Year will be announced Thursday. The conference has been teasing out these nominations in alphabetical order by school name. Here are the nominations announced as of writing.
