2023 Big 12 Tournament Bracket Released: OSU to Face OU in First Round on Wednesday
Bedlam basketball Round 3 is on deck.
The Big 12 regular season is officially in the books, folks. Now it’s conference tournament time.
The league after the final regular-season games Saturday revealed the full bracket for next week’s festivities in Kansas City, with OSU slotting in as the No. 7 seed facing — who else?! — No. 10 seed Oklahoma in the first round.
OSU had a real chance to improve its seeding with an Iowa State loss at Baylor and an OSU win over Texas Tech, but Iowa State did the unthinkable (according to Vegas) in winning in Waco to secure its spot as the No. 5 seed. That gives Iowa State a first round bye and a quarterfinals matchup against Baylor and locked TCU into the No. 6 seed.
As expected, Kansas is the No. 1 seed after Texas’ loss to TCU earlier in the week sealed its fate on that front. Texas won Saturday over Kansas to lock in the No. 2 seed, while Kansas State moved to the No. 3 seed and Baylor to the No. 4 seed.
