Following a string of flips, the Cowboys are up to 17 pledges in their 2027 recruiting class. All of those guys to this point come from the high school ranks. As far as receivers go, the Cowboys have Ake O’Neal (Argyle, Texas) and Cooper Hooker (Pryor) committed in the class.
With the coaching change this offseason, OSU got off to a slower start rankings-wise in the cycle, but the Cowboys are starting to climb their way up. Per 247Sports, the class currently ranks 53rd nationally, which stands ninth among Big 12 schools. Every Big 12 team ranked ahead of the Cowboys has at least two more pledges than the Pokes.
