Oklahoma State Flips Three-Star Offensive Lineman Sonny Mullen from Houston
Mullen is 6-foot-7, 285 pounds.
The Cowboys flipped a big lineman from a conference foe.
Listed at 6-foot-7, 285 pounds, Mullen announced his commitment to Oklahoma State on Sunday following an official visit to Stillwater. Mullen is the No. 1,133 player in the 247Sports Composite ranking for the class, making him a Top 100 offensive tackle and a Top 150 player from the state of Texas.

“I’m loving the vibe so far,” Mullen said in a video he posted from his visit. “Team feels like a family. Coach (Eric) Morris is awesome. All the position coaches are awesome. It feels like a family here.”
Along with his offers to OSU and Houston, Mullen has offers to TCU, Baylor, Kansas State and others.
The Cowboys moved quickly with Mullen. Offensive line coach Cody Crill extended an offer on May 5 before quickly setting up an official visit and getting him committed in early June.
He hails from Troy, Texas, a city of about 3,500 south of Waco. Like many of the athletes Morris recruits, Mullen is a multi-sport athlete, also throwing shot and discus. He has a 140-11 discus throw and a 42-7 shot throw this year, according to MileSplit.
Mullen is the fifth commitment in the Cowboys’ 2027 class and the first offensive lineman of the group.
