2023 DB Kam Franklin Commits to Oklahoma State
The Cowboys earned their second commit for 2023.
Oklahoma State earned the second pledge for its 2023 class on Sunday when three-star safety Kam Franklin tweeted out his commitment.
“I’m excited to announce my commitment to Oklahoma State University to continue my academics and football career!,” Franklin said in the tweet. “First, I want to thank God for blessing me with this opportunity. I want to thank my family for giving me rides, to and from practice, and for coming to every game supporting me. I want to thank the coaches who’re shaping me into who I am becoming!
“Big thanks to the OSU coaches for giving me the chance to continue playing the game I love!”
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound DB hails from Oak Grove High School (Louisiana) and is ranked the No. 37 athlete in the 2023 class by 247 Sports Composite ranking. He’s the No. 21 prospect in his state.
Franklin picked the Pokes over offers from in-state LSU as well as Arkansas, TCU, Tennessee, Mississippi State and others. The Cowboys offered Franklin in May of this year and he attended a Cowboys camp in June. Franklin was also on hand for the Pokes’ dismantling of fellow suitor TCU.
Franklin joins Del City (Okla.) defensive lineman Jaedon Foreman as the Cowboys’ two lone pledges for 2023.
