Oklahoma State Moves up to No. 13 in College Football Playoff Rankings

Published

on

The third edition of the college football playoff rankings were revealed on Tuesday night, and Oklahoma State got a nice bump from the committee after topping a ranked Iowa State team in Ames.

The Cowboys moved from No. 15 to 13 in the latest poll, the biggest riser among Big 12 squads this week. TCU saw a tumble from grace six spots from 6 to 12 following its blowout loss to Oklahoma in Norman on Saturday.

While the rankings certainly do matter, for OSU they are less relevant. The bottom line is this: Win out, get a TCU loss this weekend (or to Baylor), and you’re playing for the Big 12 title. A spot in the playoff, at this point, seems incredibly far-fetched. But a conference title — which the rankings won’t have any say in — is absolutely in play.

Here’s a look at the updated rankings with three weeks to go.
