Oklahoma State Baseball Home Opener Canceled due to Rain, Cold in Stillwater
After taking two of three games from Texas State over the weekend, Oklahoma State was set to return home to Stillwater for its home opener against Oral Roberts on Tuesday evening. The Rob Walton reunion was canceled, however, due to rain and cold, which means the Pokes’ home opener won’t come until Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. against Marist.
Due to rain & cold temperatures, our home opener today has been canceled. Hopefully Mother Nature cooperates and we'll see y'all at the park Friday when we open a 3-game series vs. Marist! #MeetMeAtAllieP #GoPokes pic.twitter.com/Bwthms8d40

Senior Colin Simpson got off to a scorching start last weekend, going 6 for 13 against Texas State with 2 HRs, 5 RBIs and 13 total bases. He was clearly OSU’s offensive leader as the Pokes also got good outings from starter Jonathan Heasley (6 IP, 0 ER, 1 W) and reliever Joe Lienhard (3.2 IP, 1 ER, 1 W).
“I was really proud of the way we competed,” said head coach Josh Holliday after the series-ending 6-5 win on Sunday. “We have a lot of guys out there getting their first opportunities to get out here and compete, and there’s some nerves in there at times. Can’t wait to get home … and get out in front of our fans and continue to build this team.”
Bummed that we can't play today, but here are some highlights from our series win at Texas State on opening weekend to get you your #okstate baseball fix! #GoPokes pic.twitter.com/EgLZoNIIMr
