Class of 2019 Inside Linebacker Kevon Glenn Names OSU in Top Schools
Inside linebacker is a position of need in the 2019 cycle for Oklahoma State, and the staff is in the mix for a doozy of a prospect from Georgia.
Three-star prospect Kevon Glenn out of Dutchtown High School in Hampton, Georgia, named the Cowboys in his top schools this week along with Georgia State, Mississippi State, Kentucky, Texas A&M, NC State, Georgia Tech, Nebraska, Wake Forest, Indiana and Appalachian State.
Glenn is the 30th-ranked inside linebacker prospect in the country by 247Sports, but star rankings aside, one of the most sought after players in the class. He held 44 offers before trimming his list on Sunday and was previously considered a composite four-star recruit.
The Cowboys don’t yet hold a commitment from an inside linebacker such as Glenn in the 2019 cycle, but do have an outside linebacker pledge from Evangel Christian standout Na’Drian Dizadare, a versatile prospect who could develop into an inside backer (and is listed by some recruiting services as such).
Glenn is a big target if only because OSU has yet to land a true inside linebacker in quite a spell. The Cowboys missed at the position last cycle, landing Blake Barron, an inside linebacker in high school, to fill a role on the weak side. The last true inside linebacker OSU landed was from the junior college ranks in 2017, when Patrick Macon, who has yet to see the field as a Cowboy, joined the program.
