Hoops Reload: OSU Visits Top Tulsa Prospect, Offers Two Out-of-State Stars
With the quiet period lifted and the recruiting period officially in full swing as of midnight on Sept. 9, the Oklahoma State staff has been hard at it in search of future Cowboys.
Mike Boynton made an in-home visit to one of OSU’s top targets in 2019 earlier this week in guard prospect Avery Anderson, but it’s far from the only action of note over the last few days. Let’s get up to date with some news and notes in a hoops edition of the Reload.
OSU staff visits two four-star prospects
This week OSU visited Cam’Ron Fletcher, a four-star small forward, as well as Caleb Love, a four-star point guard, as the recruiting period got underway. Both are standout recruits in the 2020 class, and both are from the Saint Louis area.
Per Jake Weingarten, coaches from Michigan, Indiana and Ohio State were also on hand to see them in addition to OSU.

Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, and Oklahoma State were in today for 2020 four-star Caleb Love, he tells Stockrisers.

Per 247Sports and VerbalCommits.com, Love is the only of the duo to currently possess an OSU offer. But Fletcher’s talent (he’s a top-50 national prospect according to 247) would seemingly indicate that OSU has high interest, especially if the staff is making time to see him in person.
An offer for Fletcher may come soon. Currently, per Verbal Commits, OSU has only two offers to 2020 small forwards to date in Silas Mason and Henry Coleman III.
OSU visits top Tulsa prospect
Four-star talent Bryce Thompson isn’t just the best in-state recruit in the 2020 class, but he might be one of the best overall players at his position nationally. The Oklahoma Run PWP product from Booker T. has a long list of options on where to go (and likely more to come), but OSU continues to make him a focal point for its 2020 class.
As such, OSU assistant John Cooper paid him a visit in person this week along with the Tulsa staff.

Thompson also holds offers from TU, OU, OSU, Kansas and others. He’s the centerpiece of what is shaping up to be an Oklahoma-heavy recruiting focus for 2020, which also includes Rondel Walker, Dayten Holman (who recently left the state), and Davion Bradford.

New offers
Oklahoma State made two new offers this week. The first — to a 2021 (!) prospect from Lancaster, Texas in Wade Taylor.
Taylor is a 6-1, 170-pound point guard prospect. He has five offers to date from OSU, SMU, TCU, Texas A&M and Florida State.
The second offer landed in the hands of 2020 small forward Myles Stute out of the Washington, D.C. area. Stute is a four-star, top-125 prospect with 10 offers. In addition to OSU, arguably his biggest offer, George Mason, Seton Hall, Rhode Island and other local smaller schools have offered.
