Alex Dieringer Claims Title at the Alexander Medved International
The former OSU wrestler dominated his way to a gold medal at the Alexander Medved International in Belarus.
Alex Dieringer absolutely wrecked his way to a gold medal at the Alexander Medved International in Belarus this weekend.
Here’s a look at the path he took through his 79 KG bracket.

Two techs, a pin, and a 10-1 win is about as dominant as it gets. His 10-1 win easily could’ have been a tech. The guy basically ran from him the whole match.
In the final, Dieringer wrestled Turkmenistan’s Dowletmyrat Orazgylyjow. He gave up an early 4-point move, but the rest of the match was all Dieringer as he racked up a bunch of takedowns and a few gut wrenches to get a 16-5 tech.
Alex was the only American to win a gold in the tournament.
