Johny Hendricks to Fight Bare Knuckle Fight against Brennan Ward
Months after retirement from MMA, Johny Hendricks is ready to try his fists at bare-knuckle boxing.
It was announced a few months ago that former Cowboy wrestler and UFC champion Johny Hendricks had decided to retire from mixed martial arts.
Apparently, that doesn’t mean he’s completely out of the fighting game just yet. Hendricks is now scheduled to fight another former MMA fighter Brennan Ward in the WBKFF, that’s the World Bare Knuckle Fighting Federation.

That’s right, Hendricks has inked a deal to fight another guy straight bare knuckle.
“This sounds fun, not worrying about knees, kicks, elbows, being taken down,” Hendricks told ESPN.
“All you have to do is hit somebody. I still like fighting, it just got to a point in MMA where it was just another day. Everything felt like just another day, but I’ve always wanted to box. I shocked the world before with my striking in MMA. We’ll see if I can do it again.”
According to ESPN the fight is expected to take place on November 9th. I don’t know a ton about bare-knuckle fighting, but the aftermath definitely makes it look intense.
