OSU Recruiting: Cowboys Offer Top Player in Kansas in Point Guard Ty Berry
Can Boynton steal a top Kansas player from the Jayhawks?
Oklahoma State has officially joined the race for the top-ranked prospect out of Kansas in Ty Berry.
Berry, a four-star point guard recruit from Newton, Kansas and Newton High School announced the news on his Twitter account. He’s a 6-2, 170-pound athlete already with 11 scholarship offers to date.
Thus far OSU, Creighton, Iowa, Drake, Kansas State, Wichita State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Weber State, Colorado and Missouri are the programs to extend him opportunities. Kansas has yet to offer but has recruited him steadily up to this point and remains a big player for him.
Berry is a 2020 prospect so he’s got a long while to decide where he wants to end up, but it doesn’t appear he’ll lack for options given his talent level and options already earned.
Berry joins an ever-growing list of targets for OSU in 2020 as the staff continues to cast its net, and specifically at point guard, where in-state standout Rondel Walker remains on the board.
Four-star Davonte Davis, who is visiting this weekend, is also a major target at the position.
