Dez Bryant Injured in Practice, Team Fears He Tore Achilles
Is Dez already done in NO?
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Dez Bryant was helped off the field today after suffering an injury during practice. According to NFL Insider Tom Pelissero, the team fears he might have torn his achilles.
Bryant, a former All-American at Oklahoma State, has been in the NFL since 2010. He was cut in April by the Dallas Cowboys, but the Saints signed him on a one-year contract earlier this week.
Bryant was expected to sit out this Sunday’s game against Cincinnati. The Saints wanted him to drop some weight and learn the offense a bit more before making his debut. The target game for his return was planned for the Saints’ game against the Eagles on Nov. 18.
Bryant was slated to enter a Saints offense already featuring one of the top QB-WR combos in the NFL in Drew Brees and Michael Thomas.
