Four-Star RB Donovan Edwards Offered by Oklahoma State
Edwards is a top-70 talent in 2021 and on the rise this spring.
Four-star running back Donovan Edwards has another offer to add to his list. Oklahoma State jumped in the mix this week to give him 17, and hours later he was already reporting another offer from Ohio.
Such is life these days for Edwards, one of the top prospects nationally from West Bloomfield in Michigan. Since the start of the new year, seven programs have offered the 2021 prospect, among them Oregon, Miami, Northwestern and Wisconsin.
Getting Edwards to move south — away from the Ohio States and Michigans and Wisconsins of the world — is a tall task for OSU to try and swing. But the good news is that OSU is in fairly early.
Edwards is just the second running back offer for OSU in 2021 overall (the other being Garland, Texas four-star Camar Wheaton). This will allow OSU to focus on impressing him before he really starts to settle down and narrow his options likely in the next year or so. Remember: He can’t even submit an NLI until December of 2020 at the earliest. We don’t even know what color Gundy’s mullet — if he even has one! — will be then.
While we wait to see how things unfold, here’s a look at how his sophomore season unfolded in 2018.
