Oklahoma State, Oregon State Scheduled for a 9:30 p.m. Kickoff
OSU’s season opener to be one of a couple late night Big 12 kicks in 2019.
If you are counting the minutes until the start of OSU’s 2019 football season, I’ve got some bad news. It appears you’re going to have to wait at least a couple extra hours.
Kickoff times for several of this fall’s upcoming Big 12 football games have been announced, and the Cowboys’ season opener in Corvallis, Oregon will get a late night start, at least for those of us in flyover country. The battling OSUs won’t play until 9:30 p.m. Central Time on Aug. 30 on FS1.

Of course, this will only be 7:30 p.m. local time for the Cowboys and the Beavers, and it’s not the only post-primetime start scheduled in the Big 12. Texas Tech’s Week 3 game against Arizona in Tuscon will also start at 9:30 p.m. Central, again because of a two-hour time difference.
The good news is that OSU-OSU is on a Friday night and will have little competition in terms of a marquee matchup for college football fans, especially on the west coast. Hopefully a primetime shellacking of the Beavers will help grow OSU’s brand in that fertile recruiting ground that includes southern California.
It was also announced that OSU and McNeese State will kick off at 6 p.m. on Sept. 7 on ESPN+, and OSU will kickoff against Tulsa at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 14. That game will be on either ESPN, ESPN2 or ABC.
