Chuba Hubbard Squats a Bar-Bending 550 Pounds in Offseason Workouts
Watch as the sophomore speedster squats nearly three times his body weight.
It’s almost become a tradition for OSU running backs during the week of Big 12 Media Days. While some of their teammates are the attention of media scrums in Arlington, others are at home taking part in crucial summer workouts.
Invariably some rusher outperforms a personal best and a impressive video the gets posted to Twitter. Two years ago, Justice Hill squatted 565 pounds ahead of his sophomore season and last year it was J.D. King hang-cleaning twice his body weight.
Now it’s Chuba Hubbard’s turn.

In two years, Hubbard has packed on nearly 20 pounds and the world-class track star has turned into a bonafide football player. Watch out, Big 12.
Hubbard earned a preseason all-conference selection and was one of two Cowboys (with Tylan Wallace) included in the Maxwell Award watch list.
