Redshirt Tracker: Five Games in, a Look at the Newbies Who Have Played
Several players have officially burned their chance to redshirt this season.
Five games into the season, we’re starting to see a pattern. Jayden Jernigan is going to play a role. Trace Ford is going to play a role. So, too, is Tom Hutton and Thomas Harper. Through OSU’s schedule this season, each have played in every game. In a win over No. 24 Kansas State on Saturday, their participation made it official: they cannot redshirt this season.
Here’s an update to our season-long tracker of who has and hasn’t played this season as we monitor newbies eligible for the NCAA rule that allows for players to play in up to four games while maintaining a redshirt.
(Note: we’re only tracking true freshmen and excluding all other classifications including junior college transfers and traditional transfers.)
